Patio del Mundo is the perfect place to unwind within the buzzing city of Medellin, boasting a calming tropical garden, dotted with hammocks, loungers and even a Jacuzzi which sit amongst the vibrant greenery of this urban oasis. This intimate boutique property was restored by a French family who's world travel and keen sense of style has inspired the decor, creating a tasteful and colourful space, perfect for a Medellin city break.
With just seven guestrooms, Patio del Mundo has a charming and intimate atmosphere, made all the more inviting by the warm welcome of the owners. Each of the rooms is unique, named after a city or region in the world with its colour scheme taking influence from its namesake, whether it be India, Africa, Provence or Bali. Out of Africa and Santa Fe each come with their own Jacuzzi, while Cartagena de Indias and Al-Andalus come with a private terrace complete with hammocks.
Patio del Mundo is perfectly placed to explore the bars, museums, boutiques and restaurants of the chic El Poblado neighbourhood of Medellin. Tuck into a refreshing breakfast out on the terrace before you enjoy exploring the city of eternal spring or alternatively, head further afield to explore the surrounding region of Antioquia with its rolling countryside.
Accommodation
Each of Patio del Mundo's seven rooms is decorated following the theme of world travel, with each uniquely representing a region or city. WiFi and plasma TVs are included in all rooms, as well as access to a mini bar. Out of Africa and Santa Fe have their own Jacuzzi, Provence has a personalised patio area and Cartagena de Indias & Al-Andalus come with a private terrace complete with hammocks. Rooms measure between 23 and 32 square metres.
Activities
The picturesque gardens have a spacious terrace and plenty of hammocks and loungers dotted about, as well as a Jacuzzi. Breakfast can be enjoyed out on the patio, as well as yoga classes should you wish! Activities to explore Medellin and the surrounding Antioquia countryside can be arranged.
