Exploring the Lemaire Channel

Known as one of the most photogenic spots on the Antarctic Peninsula, the channel has steep cliffy sides and is just 1600 metres wide at its most narrow point. The waters here are millpond flat as they are so well protected, and you'll find plenty of weird and wonderful-shaped icebergs here. Wildlife includes gentoo penguins, southern elephant seals and south polar skuas.
