The dry season from June to September may be the best time to visit Arequipa. However, Arequipa enjoys over 300 days of sunny blue skies per year so you can visit and enjoy the many activities and sightseeing opportunities of the city and its surroundings all year long. Make sure to bring some warm clothes as the nights can be rather cold.
Every August 15th there is a city-wide party celebrating Arequipa´s founder, Garcí Manuel de Carbajal. It is a great time to see Arequipa and mingle with the locals.

Casa Andina Premium Collection Arequipa takes residence in the former Mint House or Casa de La Moneda, a national monument located just three blocks from the main square and close to the beautiful Santa Catalina Convent in historic Arequipa.
Meticulously restored and remodelled in 2008 after more than a century of neglect, the Casa Andina Premium Collection Arequipa features high vaulted ceilings, two ample colonial courtyards, and an elegant gourmet restaurant. The lengthy restoration unearthed numerous surprises, including original frescoes, reliefs, and even a chapel long hidden from view. Five large suites have unrivalled Republican-era flavour, yet the historic mansion has also been ingeniously adapted: a unique architectural skylight shields the main courtyard from Arequipa’s intense sun, and 40 rooms are located off a second interior patio.
The hotel has an excellent gourmet restaurant, situated alongside the elegant bar, which opens out onto the central courtyard. For spectacular panoramic views of the cathedral and El Misti volcano head to the terrace situated on the fourth floor.
Casa Andina Private Collection Arequipa has 40 rooms. They are all wonderfully comfortable with first class facilities to give you an enjoyable and relaxing stay.
Children are welcome to come and stay at Casa Andina Private Collection Arequipa. However, there are no specific facilities available for them at the hotel.
Casa Andina Private Collection Arequipa has a restaurant, a bar, two courtyards and a rooftop terrace.
The restaurant serves tasty gourmet Peruvian Cuisine using local ingredients. You can eat breakfast and dinner here. The Spa offers a selection of treatments and has a sauna and Jacuzzi. The bar has a wonderful position on the courtyard providing the perfect ambiance for a drink at any time of the day.
Arequipa is Peru's most elegant city, a remarkable colonial collection of sillar (native white volcanic stone) constructions. Its complement of colonial buildings, which includes casonas (manor houses), convents and churches, are some of the most refined and historic in Peru. Yet the city, ringed by snow-capped volcanoes, is nearly as well known for the gorgeous rural scenery only minutes away, and Arequipa has quickly become a destination for outdoors enthusiasts. Experiencing Arequipa means exploring its rich colonial heritage but also getting outdoors for white water rafting, biking and exploring the beautiful countryside.

Enjoying a perfect location right by the Santa Catalina convent and a couple of blocks from the main square, the Casa Andina Private Collection Arequipa is a converted mansion from the 18th Century constructed using the traditional volcanic white stone that Arequipa is renowned for. With light-filled open-air courtyards, colonial artworks and a tiny restored chapel there is the sense of stepping back in time. I enjoyed an al-fresco breakfast outside listening to the beautiful music played by a talented local harpist. The five suites are in the original colonial part of the hotel and rest of the guest rooms are in a modern wing.
