You enter this wonderful property by an old Moorish studded wooden door, concealed down a side street in the Barrio Alfalfa. Inside, a restored 17th century Casa Palacio greets you. The ancient Moorish influences of Andalucia are mirrored in this hotel, which resembles a Moroccan Riad, wherein a central courtyard is circled by galleries housing the bedrooms.

The hotel is beautifully designed using original architecture features, such as carved wooden beams and the atrium patio, and this is combined with contemporary chic interiors and modern technology, such as iPod docking stations and plasma satellite TVs.

The open roof terrace, with a small plunge pool, is fantastic for relaxing, or gazing across the rooftops of Seville towards the Cathedral and Giralda. Drinks and snacks can be served up under the stars or down in the vaulted lower ground cellars which were only discovered during restoration. There is no restaurant, but you can use the hotel’s extensive knowledge of local restaurants and venture out into Seville for the evening.

There is a vast array of activities available to guests at Corral del Rey. Tour guides can take guests for half or full day excursions to places of interest in Sevillle and all over the region, including day trips to Cordoba, Jerez, or Cadiz. Meanwhile in the city a private yoga teacher, flamenco class or horse and cart trip can be arranged.

The rooms in the main building are situated around the central courtyard, styled with an eclectic mix of ancient and modern. The limestone and marble bathrooms have walk-in rain showers and the junior suites boast separate oversized roll top bathtubs. Every room has a state of the art sound and vision system, plasma screen, DVD player, satellite TV, iPod docks, WiFi and a safe. Each room has its own creative design in which interior designer Kuky Mora-Figueroa has stamped her individual and particularly appealing style, combining an eclectic mix of ancient and modern.

2 Bedroom Apartment

This unique serviced apartment is situated in the historic quarter of the Barrio Santa Cruz, moments from the main hotel. Comprising 2 Bedrooms (double or twin bed option) this option is perfect for families.

Penthouse Suite

Kuky Mora-Figueroa has stamped her own individual style with an eclectic mix of ancient & modern on this penthouse suite. With bathroom with walk in rain shower and roll top bath, private plunge pool and roof terrace as well as a separate living room.

Children over the age of 12 years are welcome to come and stay at Corral del Rey. However, there are no specific facilities available for them.

There's no restaurant at Corral del Rey but guests can choose to take breakfast either downstairs where there's a small breakfast room, upstairs on the roof terrace, or in their room or suite. Drinks, snacks and traditional tapas can also be served during the day and evening wherever you like!

There are opportunities to go sailing, game fishing, kite surfing, surfing, cycling, hot-air ballooning and bird watching nearby to Corral del Rey. There are 6 fantastic golf courses in the area as well as recommended walks through the Grazalema Natural Park. The hotel can organize a range of exciting, tailor made excursions to places of interest in Western Andalucia.

The Corral del Rey offers excellent massage and beauty treatments, broadband internet connection, a private chauffeur service, laundry and dry cleaning, rooftop terrace and plunge pool, and a DVD library.

When to go

Andalucia has a Mediterranean climate, making it a year round destination. In general you can usually rely on pleasant or hot temperatures from April to early November. In Andalucia there are plenty of warm, sunny days right through winter.

The best time to visit Seville is in the Spring and Fall when the temperature is just perfect with warm sunny days. During July and August it can be very hot and some days the temperature reaches 40°C. In August the locals head to the coast and much of the city closes.
