Villa Luminx enjoys a spectacular location overlooking nearby St Paul de Vence, and just a short walk to the old and picturesque center of La Colle Sur Loup. Equidistant between Nice and Antibes, it's 20 minutes to the nearest beach at Cagnes-sur-Mer and the warm waters of the Baie des Anges, as well as being within easy reach of many the attractions of the South of France and its beautiful scenery. Set on a hillside location within gated grounds, it is in a residential part of the village, with the pool and terraces having far reaching views. It's built in an elegant Provencal style with lots of quirky little design touches, and is both spacious and welcoming. Throughout, there's an eclectic art collection, whilst the surrounding area is an art lover's paradise.
Luminx works really well for families and groups of friends with large open plan living on the ground floor, numerous terraces and a small garden. There's a separate TV room and study, and below, there's a gym and a cinema and games room/children's playroom. Upstairs, there are two double and two twin en-suite bedrooms, all with French doors opening out onto balconies, where you can see St Paul de Vence lying from your bed. The fifth bedroom, a twin, is below the living area with direct access to the outside area, garden and pool.
The outside space offers lots of flexibility for al fresco dining and relaxing, with several terraces on different levels around the villa and pool. The children's play area is based in the covered exterior gallery, with a separate terrace and toys and games. Below the villa is the heated infinity pool (heated in low season only) with gentle steps leading into it, making it ideal for younger children. For guests driving down, there's good parking space.
La Colle sur Loup is an historic village with plenty to explore, especially on market day, each Saturday. A 12th Century priory, which has now been converted into a restaurant, Romanesque chapel and bell tower are all impressive, and it's easy to while away the time in the narrow cobbled streets and alleyways. Well-known for being an antiques center, it also has a good selection of shops and restaurants. Nearby St Paul de Vence is a popular place to visit with its shops and galleries, especially on market day. Surrounded by ramparts, it enjoys an impressive position on the top of a rocky outcrop. Inspiration for artists for centuries, evidence of their visits is everywhere. Art lovers should visit the Fondation Maeght, and if you like food too, then lunch at La Colombe d'Or is highly recommended. Further afield, the Alpes Martimes and the whole of Provence has a wealth of diverse attractions for all to enjoy. From cycling in the hills to kayaking in the spectacular Gorges du Verdon, or from people watching on La Croisette to just sitting by the villa pool, it's not hard to see why this distinct corner of France is so alluring.
If you'd like to drive to your villa, or extend your vacation and explore France a little further, we can organize an itinerary taking in a selection of hotels along the way. Speak to one of our travel specialists who'd be more than happy to make some suggestions and help plan your trip.

When to go
The typical Mediterranean climate of Provence and the Cote d'Azur has long drawn visitors here. Late Spring brings warm temperatures that can reach nearly 30C by July. Sunshine is abundant, with nearly 12 hours a day in mid-summer. The mistral wind can bring a cooler wind in early Spring, but this part of the Riviera is more protected. July is the driest month, and rain showers tend to be infrequent.
