A selection of wines from the owners very own collection in the cellar next door, will satisfy even the most demanding palate.

The dining room is run in an innovated style the dishes have a refreshing vitality and lack of fuss, with emphasis on distinct flavors of home cooking. Guests can finish off the evening with an aperitif in the comfort of the Billiard room.

The entire house including the pool area is fitted with a Bose sound system that the guests can use with their own iPod or select your choice of music from the in-house collection.

Location & Directions

Pussellawa, Sri Lanka

The drive from Kandy takes about 30-minutes to the bungalow. Nuwara Eliya is 45-minutes further into the hills. Lavender House is a perfect solution for those who want to sample the hill country but only have limited time to spare.

When to go

Year round destination. Because the Hill Country it so high up it rarely gets unbearably hot. The months of December to April are probably the best time to visit, as temperatures rise to around 28C during the day but cool down at night. During the monsoon season from October to December you can expect heavy downpours. June to September are the driest months here, when there’s almost no rain at all.
