Bhutan is a full of excellent hiking trails waiting to be discovered, all with equally mesmerising landscapes. On this six to seven hour jungle trek, you will head to Bhutan’s largest lake, Hokatsho where you can expect sensational views.
Tucked within dense jungle vegetation, this trek is perfect for hikers who wish to get off-the-beaten track and explore more of Bhutan's breathtaking scenery.
Starting on a red mud path, you will begin your ascend up through small villages before reaching the 15th century temple Chorten Nyeabu. Wander through the temple's buildings and understand a little more about the Bhutanese culture.
From here, follow the small creek all the way to the lake. You'll notice the vegetation becomes more and more dense as you go along, and you'll be joined by some interesting wildlife.
On arrival at the lake, you will be rewarded with some spectacular views of this untouched lake. End this experience enjoying a picnic. You will eat in one of the charming farmhouses set on the hillside with views overlooking the valley before being picked up and driven back to your hotel.
