Named for the tallest mountain in the Americas, the Aconcagua Valley has long been known for its rich reds grown in the foothills of the Andes, especially Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Chile’s emblematic Carménère. With a natural balance of wind, temperature, and soil diversity, Aconcagua produces high quality grapes which, in turn, have produced some of Chile’s highest scoring wines. You will visit the Errázuriz Winery, one of Chile’s oldest and most iconic, and the boutique Von Siebenthal Winery, founded by an ex-pat Swiss lawyer and which has produced one of the highest scoring wines in Chile. In fact, four of Von Siebenthal’s six wine labels have scored over 90 points. You will enjoy lunch at Errázuriz.
