Itinerary

This epic itinerary offers an idyllic introduction to the country’s biggest draws and provides the perfect concoction of a cultural intake and spectacular scenery while staying at some of the most exclusive and stylish hotels in the in China.

  1. Days 1-4: Beijing

    Your epic Chinese adventure begins in Beijing, a vast metropolis and home to over 12 million people. Your home for the next three nights is The Opposite House. An ultra-modern, chic hotel nestled in the buzzing district of San Li Tun and with some of the trendiest bars and restaurants on your doorstep, this is the place to be. Kick-start your day with a swim in the dramatic stainless-steel swimming pool located in the hotel’s basement before fuelling up on a gourmet breakfast in one of the tasteful restaurants. Delve into the heart of the city with your private guide and expose its matchless collection of must-see sites. Amble through the vast void of Tian’anmen square, unveil legendary secrets of the Forbidden City and meander through the narrow lanes and quaint courtyard houses of Old Beijing before marvelling at the imperial Summer Palace.

    On your second full day in the city, we have included a trip to The Great Wall of China. Hop in a cable car to the Mutianyu section of the wall and enjoy an easy stroll along the ancient structure. Soak up the dramatic views and capture priceless pictures before whizzing back down to the bottom in a toboggan. In the evenings, venture back to your hotel and indulge in a variety of tantalising cuisine before concluding your night with a refreshing cocktail and chillout beats in one the hotel’s stylish bars.

  2. Days 4-6: Xian

    Leaving the buzz of Beijing behind you, it’s time to board a high-speed train to Xi’an for the next leg of your journey. Your home for the next two nights is the luxurious Sofitel on Remin Square, Xi’an’s only contemporary hotel with an alluring East meets West atmosphere. Expect stylish rooms with funky décor, designer bathrooms, a well-equipped gym, soothing spa facilities and mouthwatering restaurants.

  3. Days 6-8: Shanghai

    Fly west to Shanghai for the next leg of your journey.

    Time to head out and devour the delicious cuisine that Shanghai is famed for. From the delicious eateries found in the liveliest part of town, to the Michelin starred restaurant located inside of your hotel, you’ll have boundless opportunity to uncover the true flavours of Shanghai. After dinner, we’ve included tickets to an ‘ERA’ evening show for you to enjoy. Expect vivid lights and spellbinding acrobatics combined with the latest technology to create a jaw-dropping extravaganza you won’t want to miss. Conclude your evening of fun with one last drink at the hotel’s swanky bar ‘Sir Elly’s’ and relish unrivalled views of the electric skyline and meandering river.

  4. Days 8-10: Hong Kong

    One last destination awaits. Fly to Hong Kong and be greeted by your private driver who will transfer you to the final hotel on this trip. Ascend 552m to the highest point in Hong Kong and be greeted with sweeping views of the city, verdant woodland and impressive trails. After descending to the base of the mountain, it’s time to meander through the booming Soho district to encounter the world’s longest escalator. Hop on the impressive stairway and uncover the array of markets on display here. From the fluttering, vibrant Bird Market to the sweet-smelling Flower Market, you’ll have plenty of time to able around the energetic bazaars. Following an active day of exploring the city, retreat to the hotel’s secluded garden located on the 6th floor. Boasting a lush green turf and a serene ambience, ‘The Lawn’ provides a stark contrast with the encompassing cityscape. Sink into a beanbag with a cocktail in hand and enjoy this hidden haven in the heart of Hong Kong.
