This new Via Ferrata (iron road) climbing route offers an exhilarating climbing experience across cables, ladders and bridges with incredible views. No experience necessary, the course is led by certified mountaineering guides and takes around 6 hours.
On this shared tour you can experience an introduction to climbing a Via Ferrata in the Rockies. Once your expert guide has explained your equipment you will set off on your adventure. The "Mountaineer" Via Ferrata climbing route at Mount Norquay in Banff, traverses an alpine ridge leading to the mountain’s east summit at 2,450 metres. The Via Ferrata course (Italian for “iron road”) is composed of fixed anchors, cables, ladders, and two suspension bridges over impressive chasms – all with incredible views.
Tours are led by a certified mountaineering guide, and include all equipment and a chairlift ride to mid-mountain.
