Best time to Visit

Good time to visit

Average time to visit

Cambodia is hot all year round and the best time to visit is during the dry season, which runs from November to April. It starts to get wetter in May and the wettest months are September and October. It is still possible to visit during this time as rain usually falls as short sharp storms. November is a fantastic month to visit Cambodia as it is very green after the rainy season and the lakes and rivers are full of water.

Leap headfirst into this epic trip through stunning Cambodia. Releasing your inner boho vibes you will be consumed by the beauty and aura of this mesmerising country, staying in the stylish chic hideaway retreats whilst taking in the natural scenery and wildlife around you. Relinquishing life with these ultimate experiences as you plunge into all this trip oozes; from the calming site of Angkor Wat, foodie heaven of Phnom Penh and the paradise barefoot luxury on Krabey Island.

  1. Fly to Siem Reap

  2. Days 1-4: Siem Reap & Angkor Wat

Dive headfirst into the start of this awesome adventure, arrive at your hotel ready to be revived and pampered before you immerse yourself in the magic Cambodia has to show you.  Staying at Phum Baitang you will be blown away by this luxurious and elegant hideaway, sitting within acres of verdant gardens and paddy fields, deeply inspired by Cambodian architecture, but only a mere 10 minutes from the majesty of Angkor Wat, it's not only beautiful but also incredibly well located.  You will stay in one of the gorgeous private stilted villas tucked around the retreat, offering a calm haven to return after all your explorations. To allow you some time off, Phum Baitang boasts a temple inspired spa, a yoga pavilion, fitness room, infinity pool, sauna and steam room, all designed so that you can fully indulge in some down time.

Feeling refreshed from your flight head out to explore the beauty of Angkor Wat and Siem Reap, both offering an abundance of things to do.  We recommend taking to the air to soak up the iconic site of Angkor Wat.  The helicopter flight heads off just after sunrise, or just before sunset, meaning you see the temple in its best light. If you would prefer to treat yourself to a private flight, you can do this at any time of day, taking in Cambodia's most iconic site from an entirely new angle.  You can also have a fully immersive experience with your very own private yoga session at at one of the more remote and secluded temples of Angkor, the perfect zen moment on your travels and the perfect way to start the day.  Head into Siem Reap, and with your private guide explore the up and coming galleries and boutiques that pepper the streets here. If you’re interested in art, textiles and shopping then this is for you. Visit the quirky mix of art studios, atelier and galleries overflowing with artisan products, experience the luxurious 100% fine hand-woven silk scarves from renowned American weaver and textile expert Carol Cassidy at Weaves of Cambodia. It can all be customised depending on your interests.

Take some time out to see some of the charitable work that has been helping Cambodia’s most vulnerable people with a guided tour of Charitable Cambodia.  With your expert guide you will move around the town learning about the country’s artistic heritage, aspiring artists, landmine effort and the Angkor Hospital for children and how that is all helping.

Round of your time here with refreshing sunset cocktails as you leisurely drift down the moat of Angkor Thom, accompanied by the sound of bird song.

    Accommodation: Phum Baitang (3 nights)

  3. Days 4-6: Phnom Penh

For your next leg you will head further south the capital Phnom Penh, home to the art deco Central Market and glittering Royal Palace.

Rosewood Phnom Penh brings ultimate luxury to this charming city, at 39 storeys high, currently the tallest hotel in town, and in the first skyscraper, offering remarkable views and all in walking distance of Central Market and seeking out the buzzing bars and eateries in town. A lovely touch is the added bonus of the complimentary tuk-tuks to take you around. Indulge at Sense, a Rosewood Spa or take a swim in the 72 foot long indoor swimming pool, located on the 33rd floor. A cantilevered sky bar is just one of the highlights that awaits at Rosewood Phnom Penh, serving up an array of cocktails in a chic and impressive setting.

Time to head out and devour the delicious cuisine that Phnom Penh is famed for, the Taste of Mekong experience is perfect for foodies, wanting to get a true taste of Khmer traditions. Spend the morning exploring one of Phnom Penh's best food markets and learning about Khmer cuisine from the incredible Chef Nak. She will guide you through one of Phnom Penh's best food markets, describing the different ingredients, their uses and nutritional value. You'll also have the chance to view and assist with her cooking demonstration before sampling the delicious plates that you have helped create. As the morning comes to an end, you'll have some time to relax as you travel back to Phnom Penh by boat cruising by small islands and traditional fishing families on their house boats.

As the sun sets see Phnom Penh burst into life with energy and vibrancy with a dine around tuk tuk food tour.  Begin with sundowners at the city's highest restaurant to watch the sun set beyond the city’s skyline, you’ll then be whisked away by tuk-tuk to hidden restaurants tucked along Phnom Penh’s charming alleys. End the evening on the riverfront with a coffee and dessert at one of the city’s night hotspots, or perhaps continue the exploration of Phnom Penh’s nightlife from the back of your tuk-tuk.  A fun and mesmerising experience to embrace local life and palate tingling food.

Accommodation: Rosewood Phnom Penh (2 nights)

  4. Days 6-10: Coastal Cambodia

Leaving the buzz of Phnom Penh behind you, idyllic paradise shores awaits you at the uber luxurious Six Senses Krabey Island.  Let the feeling of calm wash over you as you let the magic of this barefoot luxury take hold and cocoon you to happiness.  A small and intimate resort, just a few minutes by boat from Cambodia's idyllic coastline, with stylish private pool villas peppered throughout its 30 acres of island, you will know you have landed in paradise.

The spacious villas boast a chic and airy living room, spoiling master bedrooms with light woods, soft linens and dreamy bathrooms with large bathtubs. With a huge emphasis on wellness, the spa will also feature heavily for most guests staying here. Incorporating Cambodian healing treatments, multi-day rejuvenation journeys, yoga and wellness workshops, we believe this will be one of Cambodia's best spas.

Of course, the main draw here are the pristine turquoise waters, an abundance of sea life and water sports to enjoy.  From snorkelling to diving, kayaking, windsurfing and paddle boarding, fishing trips and sunset cruises there is a plethora of activities waiting for you.  Six Senses can arrange and an array of island explorations, morning jungle walks, castaway picnics, scared blessings and cooking classes.  You can choose to do as much or as little as you would like with a varied menu of experiences for you to enjoy.
