Sailing at Nonsuch Bay
East Coast, Antigua
The two square miles of enclosed waters at Nonsuch Bay, protected from the sea by a barrier reef and consistent and warm trade winds make it an outstanding destination for small boat sailing. Their sailing school caters for a full range of abilities.
Nonsuch Bay has a full fleet of sailing dinghies, catamarans and keelboats as well as kayaks and safety boats. The school offers instruction for all ages and abilities, or more experienced sailors can benefit from their "turn up and go" service.
The Sailing Activity for adults and children allows guests full use of the resort’s fleet of sailboats and kayaks during the day with the support of the waterfront team. Use of sailboats is subject to the waterfront manager’s reasonable boat specific and weather dependent assessment of a guest’s ability. The rate includes an introduction to the sailboat and assistance in launching and retrieval. In addition to the programme of activities and group tuition of the Water sports, Teenager and Children’s Programmes, private sailing tuition and courses can be arranged at extra cost.
