During your stay in Zermatt, you should try to fit in a visit to the world’s highest glacier palace. From the top of the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise lift station, you descend through an ice tunnel almost 15 metres below the glacier’s surface. There you will find information about the creation of the palace, learn about glaciology and admire impressive ice sculptures, which are renewed on a regular basis.
The particularly adventurous can enjoy an ice slide or walk along a path through one of the glacier’s crevasses. Entrance costs CHF8 per adult and CHF4 for children.
