Summers in Mallorca are normally hot and dry while winters tend to be pleasant and mild. Mallorca's high tourist season begins in April and ends around late September. Many restaurants and bars are only open during the summer months of June to September, though visiting outside these months means less crowds.
Cap Rocat is a former military fortress located in a quiet area around the beautiful bay of Palma. The fortress has been carefully renovated, ensuring it has maintained its unique architecture set within an exclusive 2 km peninsula.
The fortress is situated in an environmentally protected area with very special bird and sea life making it a peaceful and extraordinary hideaway.
Cap Rocat boasts 24 rooms including suites which are situated in the former shooting pads, offering unique accommodation, stunning vistas across the bay which can be viewed from their own private patios and terraces. All rooms and suites feature calm interiors with natural hand woven fabrics.
Inside the fortress, the halls have been redesigned to become relaxing areas together with private lounges for exclusive use of guests. In the summer, you can relax on the beautiful outdoor lounges where you can enjoy the warm summer nights.
Cap Rocat offers some fabulous facilities. The fortress pool - a spectacular swimming pool, built on top of one of the walls of the old fortress has the best views of the bay. For sea swimming there are natural swimming areas around the old pier and dock.
Cap Rocat has 24 rooms and suites. The suites are in the converted former shooting pads and have superb views of the bay of Palma which you can observe from your private patio or terrace. The suites feature temperature controls, wifi, iPod dock and scented candles for your convenience. On the terrace there are sun loungers, a couple of chairs and a table so you can sit and relax in private.

Hidden in the rock, on the edge of the cape’s cliffs where Cap Rocat was built are the Sentinels. Carved as watchtowers in secret enclaves, each Sentinel has been splendidly transformed into an amazing suite that blends the uniqueness of rocky cave walls with Mediterranean furnishings. Room size between 45 and 60 sqm with a small sitting area, King size bed, separated bath tub and shower & sea views from the bed. Each Sentinel has a terrace on Cap Rocat’s cliff with Plexiglas walls for unobstructed views, a private infinity plunge pool, sitting area & day bed.
|Suite del Mar||
Suite del Mar is a stunning suite in Cap Rocat's collection. Located steps away from the private beach, this suite is unique on the property boasting privacy and space. It is surrounded by a Mediterranean garden with its own private pool 6m and terraces overlooking the magnificent Palma Bay. 60 sq.m.
Cap Rocat welcomes children over the age of 15 years. The hotel is not suitable for younger children as it has been designed with adults in mind.
There are two restaurants on offer. The Fortress Restaurant which is located in one of the main pavilions and prizes itself on spectacular Mediterranean dishes and use products sourced from ecological farms. The Sea Club, an open-air restaurant offering dishes cooked in a traditional Mallorcan oven. Private dining and cooking classes take place in the newly refurbished Former Fortress Kitchen. For the ultimate treat, the hotel can organize special private sunset dinners at specifically chosen spots overlooking the bay.
Cap Rocat offers an array of sport activities: tennis, yoga, walking trails, cycling, water sports (sailing, diving and waterskiing). There is also a small fitness area. The hotel can also arrange an array of sightseeing excursions with their guides as well as sportive activities such as golf, deep sea fishing, horse riding or cultural activities such as visiting street markets, private villas and cultural foundations.

How to get there
2-hour 30-minute British Airways scheduled flight from London City to Palma (not daily). Alternatively low cost flights daily. Cap Rocat is located 20 minutes from Palma airport.
