This rural hideaway has been lovingly restored offering 27 beautiful rooms and suites which blend a contemporary style with traditional Grecian architecture. The hotel's swimming pool is unique, like a castle moat it surrounds the outside of the hotel, surrounding areas offer guests private corners in which to relax and enjoy the sea views and surrounding vineyards.
The Kinsterna Spa is located in a secluded, quiet part of the hotel, it features a purifying steam bath, temperature controlled whirlpool, wet and dry treatment rooms and razul and water paradise cabins. The spa list offers a wide variety of treatments from those looking for a simple massage to those wanting more specialist care and attention.
Kinsterna Hotel & Spa is a perfect all year round getaway. It is an ideal base to explore the surrounding region, which includes the famous towns of Sparta and Tripoli. For those happy to explore, the region offers stunning small beaches waiting to be discovered, the famous beach of Simos is a short drive away. The Hotel offers something for everyone whether it be relaxation or the chance to discover ancient archaeological sites.
Kinsterna offers 27 luxury rooms. The four Classic Rooms have a queen size bed and views over the surrounding olive and citrus groves. The four Deluxe Rooms have queen size beds, a private veranda that offers views towards the Aegean Sea. The four Byzantine Suites have original architecture, sea views and king size beds. The five Junior Suites have a large bed, lounge area and sea views. The four Deluxe Suites offer a separate lounge area, king size bed and located on the top floor offer panoramic views. Finally the six Kinsterna Suites offer large king size beds, separate living and dining space and panoramic views, ideal for honeymooners.
Children of all ages are welcome to come and stay at Kinsterna Hotel & Spa. The hotel can supply cots and extra beds for children. There is also a babysitting service available if you would like some time out for yourselves.
Kinsterna offers three dining options. First is the gourmet main restaurant, which spills out onto the hotel's stunning courtyard, surrounded by the internal water feature and offering impressive sea views. It offers a memorable experience under the stars and the food is a mix dishes of inspired by Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. During the winter months, meals are served around the fireplace in the hotel’s cosy indoor restaurant. Second is the Belvedere the hotel's main bar, a romantic spot for a little champagne or sipping a morning coffee with a pastry. Third is the Pool Bar a relaxing, shaded spot which serves guests all day, a simple menu offering sandwiches and signature burgers, healthy salads and snacks.
During your stay at Kinsterna Hotel you could visit the local vineyards and become involved in some grape crushing, take part in bread making which is made in an outdoor stove every Saturday. A visit to Monemvasia’s Castle is not to be missed, nor is an exploration of the fortress town's bars, boutiques and restaurant.
There are many beaches nearby for you to go an relax on or partake in water sports. The hotel will help you arrange activities of your preferred choice whether it be scuba diving or hanging yoga.

The hotel is located in Agios Stefanos 7 km southwest of the castle of Monemvasia and only 1000m from the sea. The city of Monemvasia is located on the southeastern tip of the Peloponnese, some 80 km south of the historic city of Sparta.
When to go
The climate in Greece is warm and sunny for the majority of the year with the risk of the odd shower of rain and some cooler periods over the winter. From April/May onwards the weather settles but it can sometimes be cool in the evenings. By mid/end of May, the weather generally settles in a pattern of long hot sunny days and balmy evenings especially in July and August when it can be very hot. Rain is unlikely but it can happen from time to time. May to October are particularly pleasurable months.
