When to go
Val Thorens offers great skiing throughout the winter. The Trois Vallées has both sunny south facing slopes, which are ideal on colder days, and higher more shaded skiing with snow-sure slopes. On one side, the North-facing slopes of Courchevel offer further great skiing and on the other, the Val Thorens valley has some of Europe's highest altitude skiing. Easy access to the entire Three Valleys makes it hard to beat from December through to late April.
