Luxury boutique hotel COMO The Halkin is in the heart of Belgravia, surrounded by Knightsbridge, Mayfair and the fashionable Bond Street and Sloane Street. Just a short walk to Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace, The Halkin is at the center of London's most famous landmarks, and close to all main attractions.
Although the exterior of The Halkin is quintessentially Georgian, the interior decoration is modern and welcoming. Rooms are filled with natural light thanks to large windows, and some offer views over the quiet hotel garden. The bright rooms mixed with the white linens and furnishings are calm and relaxing, and guests will find the rooms a generous size. For a truly private, luxurious stay, COMO Suites offer large living areas, and some provide spacious, peaceful balconies, perfect for relaxing with a drink on a warm summer evening.
The Halkin boasts its very own Michelin-starred restaurant, Ametsa with Arzak Instruction. A unique concept combining the traditional, earthy Basque flavors with a contemporary Spanish twist, the delectable dishes are creative and innovative. Well worth a visit, Ametsa serves its dishes in a fantastic contemporary setting, complete with 7000 glass vessels in the ceiling, each filled with spices. The standout feature of the restaurant, the wave-like effect is impressive yet calm and soothing. For a more casual meal, The Halkin Bar offers light lunches, delicious cocktails, and one of London's best afternoon teas.
Although there is no spa at The Halkin, guests can receive a variety of in-room therapies, or alternatively make use of the treatment rooms at Shambhala Urban Retreat spa, at nearby sister hotel COMO Metropolitan London. For those looking to be more active, The Halkin has a well-equipped gym, and guests have access to the Belgrave Square tennis courts.
COMO The Halkin has a total of 41 guest rooms and suites which offer views of the garden or the city. In contrast with the Georgian façade of the hotel the rooms have contemporary interiors. Decorated with white linens and muted colors, natural light fills the rooms, ensuring a bright and airy atmosphere. Marble bathrooms each contain a bathtub, and the majority have walk-in showers. Each room provides a touch-screen console to control the lighting and room temperature, as well as services such as butler call.
Measuring 34-38 sqm, Garden Rooms are spacious, and offer lovely garden views. Marble bathrooms contain a bathtub and walk-in shower.
At 45 sqm, Halkin Rooms offer a generous living area, and the cream-colored furnishings complement the natural light that fills the rooms. Each bathroom has a walk-in shower.
Studio Suites offer spacious open plan living, sleeping and dressing areas, measuring 47 sqm.
Measuring 58 sqm, Belgravia Suites are either open-plan, semi or fully-partitioned. Each has a spacious lounge area with sofa and large windows to allow plenty of natural light. Some suites offer garden views, and some have high curved ceilings following the arches of the roof.

When to go
It is very difficult to predict the weather in the United Kingdom - in the summer from May to late September is generally seen as the most pleasant time to visit. Rainfall is difficult to predict - but the UK does not receive as much as many are led to believe! In the winters, temperatures do fall, but the Christmas atmosphere in London is not to be missed.
