Average time to visit
Cambodia is hot all year round and the best time to visit is during the dry season, which runs from November to April. It starts to get wetter in May and the wettest months are September and October. It is still possible to visit during this time as rain usually falls as short sharp storms. November is a fantastic month to visit Cambodia as it is very green after the rainy season and the lakes and rivers are full of water.

Phum Baitang, which means 'Green Village' in Khmer is one of Siem Reap's most luxurious and elegant hideaways, with just 45 spacious stilted villas that are wrapped in luminous greenery and finished with high quality interiors.
Like most Zannier hotels, Phum Baitang oozes elegant and design led style with a real focus on food and service. The property, which only opened in the summer of 2015, sits within acres of verdant gardens and paddy fields and is deeply inspired by Cambodian architecture. Located just 10 minutes from the from the majesty of Angkor Wat, it's not only beautiful but also incredibly well located.
There are 45 private stilted villas in total; inspired by traditional Khmer houses these are beautifully decorated with earthy tones, dark wooden floors, and light flowing linens. They feel calming and slightly homespun but at the same time are incredibly indulgent. This is most definitely pared back luxury at its best.
Aside from the beautiful rooms, the property also boasts some fantastic dining options. Choose from traditional Cambodian flavors in Bay Phsar, with food and design influenced by traditional Cambodian markets or Hang Bay, that showcases fantastic fusion and world cuisine. Here you'll find fresh seafood and high quality steaks. Afterwards, the cigar and cocktail lounge beckons you in for an after dinner tipple with views out over the fields.
To allow you some time off, Phum Baitang boasts a temple inspired spa, a yoga pavilion, fitness room, infinity pool, sauna and steam room as well as an impressive kids' club. All designed so that you can fully indulge in some down time.
Despite being incredibly spoiling, Phum Baitang pays homage to Cambodia's heritage and history, which we love. It's ideal for couples and families that want a peaceful and luxurious retreat just a short journey from the magnificent temples of Angkor.
There are 45 private and exclusive villas, choose between Terrace Villas or Pool Villas. The 25 terrace villas enjoy a relaxing terrace to soak up the tropical sun. The 20 pool villas boast a plunge pool as well as terrace and garden. Each villa is kitted out with high tech necessities and separate bathroom and toilet. They are all beautifully decorated with sumptuous bathrooms, chic furniture and large comfortable beds.
There is a Kids' Club available where exploring, adventure and learning is all just around the corner. Both educational about Cambodia's rich culture and also highly entertaining and energetic, this kids' club will be something truly original that will remain in your child's memory when they think of this amazing place.
You can indulge your inner god or goddess in Phum Baitang's impressive and soothing spa. There are numerous dining options, with one housed in a 100 year old Cambodian farmhouse, along with a cigar and cocktail bar. There's also a kids' club and a boutique.
The hotel is fully staffed with efficient concierge, a chauffeur service as well as a guest assistant to plan and advise guests on their stay.

This is quite possibly one of the most beautiful resorts I have ever been to. Its the perfect place to use as a base to explore Siem reap and the nearby temples but equally, you can easily spend time relaxing by the pool for hours on end.

Phum Baitang is a really lovely option for stays in Siem Reap. It is slightly out of town, about 10 minutes by car, and it such a relaxing place with plenty of outdoor space, paddy fields, a big pool and great restaurants. The villas are spacious and tastefully decorated with huge bathrooms and some have their own little garden with a plunge pool. The food is fantastic and the staff are absolutely charming and incredibly thoughtful, while the service is the perfect combination of attentive yet discreet.

Out of my three week trip through Indo-China I stayed in some incredible places and I have to say the new Phum Baitiang is definitely one of my favorites. Part of the up-and-coming Zannier collection of hotels the Phum Baitang is beautifully designed and has a real village feel to it. Situated just out of town the resort is blessed with a lot of space, with just 45 villas spanning across 8 acres. The villas are for me almost perfect. They are spacious, luxurious, homely & authentic a great mix. If you are not in a villa with a private pool fear not! The resorts 50m infinity pool is one of the nicest Ive ever had the please of swimming in with lovely views looking into the resorts paddy fields. Being under a year old the resort still does look pretty fresh & itll take another few months for the vegetation to mature but please do not let this put you off! For a new hotel the service is also fantastic, the staff are not only extremely attentive but very friendly too. They love to make you feel at home! The food I had when I was there was delicious, the drinks (especially the DIY G&T!) were great. I just wish I could have stayed there longer!

Arriving at Phu Baitang felt as if I was entering a beautifully manicured traditional village. The atmosphere of the hotel is so calm and serene in comparison to the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap and it was amazing to return to this after a busy day exploring. The fact that it is located about 20 minutes out of town actually felt like a positive rather than a negative as it felt that I could experience both countryside and city. The design of the hotel is very traditional but the inside of the rooms is lovely and modern which creates such a great contrast and really comfortable stay. The food here is also amazing with some really creative menus with my favorite being the cucumber soup with goats cheese ice cream incredible!
