Hotel del Parque is set within a meticulously restored 19th Century building in the heart of Guayaquil's tropical Parque Historico. A short drive from Guayaquil airport, Hotel del Parque is a perfect stopover on route to the Galapagos Islands.
One of the only boutique hotels to be found in the bustling Ecuadorian port city of Guayaquil, Hotel del Parque occupies a charming plot within the tropical Parque Historico, overlooking the Daule River and surrounded by a jungle of beautiful botanical gardens. Vibrant flora creates an idyllic setting and leads the way to the park's wildlife refuge which houses spider monkeys, iguanas, harpy eagles, macaws and hummingbirds.
This 19th century building has been meticulously restored to provide a luxurious hotel experience on mainland Ecuador, ideal for a stay either before or after a stint of exploration in the enchanting Galapagos Islands. The former hospice surrounds picturesque patios with fountains, flowers and birds bringing elements of the tropical surroundings to the interior, which is also reflected in the decor. Contemporary furniture and modern technology sit alongside antique pieces and botanical artwork.
Facilities include a restaurant which overlooks the river, serving up delicious Ecuadorian fare with a sophisticated and modern twist. Rich seafood and the freshest locally sourced fruits and vegetables combine to make a mouthwatering menu. Massages can also be arranged in the building's bell tower, a perfect post-cruise treat!
There are 44 guest rooms which are decorated to reflect the hotel's tropical surroundings. The colonial design has been given a modern twist with bright colors and contemporary furnishings whilst remaining respectful of the 19th century architectural style. All rooms boast views of the park or the historic buildings surrounding the hotel; we recommend the park views.
Hotel del Parque's elegant and spacious Deluxe Rooms are decorated to reflect the hotel's tropical surroundings. The colonial design has been given a modern twist with bright colors and contemporary furnishings whilst remaining respectful of the 19th century architectural style. Room interiors also feature air conditioning, a flat screen television, in room safe, minibar, complimentary wifi and ensuite restroom with premium amenities.
More spacious than the Deluxe Rooms with a cosy sitting area and a second panoramic window in some of the rooms. Ranging between 51 and 60sqm in size (549 - 645sqft).
The Junior Suite is located on the second floor and can connect with a Signature Room to create a spacious two-bedroom suite ideal for families. Without the additional room, this suite measures 66sqm (710sqft).
Ideal for families or those who prefer to have a lot more space and privacy, the Park Suite is the perfect option. This two-bedroom suite overlooks the main park through its four large windows and features a dining area, living room, small pantry kitchen, master bathroom and smaller separate bathroom. Optional private butler service is included. Measures 171sqm (1,830sqft).
Facilities at Hotel del Parque include a unique massage room which can be found in the bell tower and offers stunning views of the surrounding park and river. There is also an on-site restaurant which sits just next to the hotel and boasts panoramic river views.
Guests at Hotel del Parque are ideally placed to enjoy Guayaquil's Parque Historico and to explore the surrounding botanical gardens and wildlife refuge. The wildlife area is spread over three hectares and incorporates tropical dry forest, mangrove forest and floodplain forest to provide habitats to all manner of species to include macaws, spider monkeys and hummingbirds.
