Mine is an intimate and affordable boutique hotel, combining contemporary design and friendly service in a great location close to superb restaurants, bars and boutiques and right in the heart of Palermo Soho; the trendy neighborhood of Buenos Aires.
The contemporary Mine Hotel is situated in the bohemian Palermo Soho area of Buenos Aires, which puts guests right at the heart of exciting arts and entertainments. This small hotel has a peaceful atmosphere, and light floods into the rooms and glass-walled corridors. The Mine Hotel also has a small bistro and a lounge bar perfect for relaxing.
The 20 individually appointed guest rooms are cosy and inviting, decked out in wood and rattan textures, while a backdrop of white hues are enlivened with vivid colors and Asian accents. All rooms have built-in DVD systems, and DVDs may be borrowed from the hotel's DVD library.
Accommodation at Mine Hotel comprises 20 guest rooms divided into three categories, Classic, Superior and Palermo. The rooms are decorated in a modern style, principally in white with carefully placed textiles and furnishings adding touches of color. All come equipped with air conditioning, mini bar, LCD TV, DVD player and Wi-Fi, plus some have jet tubs. Rooms overlook either the garden, patio or exterior.
Children are welcome at Mine Hotel although there are no specific facilities other than babysitting plus cots and additional beds, which can be arranged on request. Palermo Rooms come with an additional sofabed so can be a good choice for families with children.
Facilities at Mine Hotel include a DVD library, deli cafe and bistro. Wi-fi is available throughout the hotel, and internet access is free.
Mine Hotel is a great base for exploring Palermo Soho, with its many boutiques, bars and restaurants. Guests can also make a visit to the famous cemetery in Recoleta, the lively antiques market in San Telmo on a Sunday or the Malba museum, with its excellent collection of Latin American art. Tango lessons and a personal trainer service can be organized by the hotel on request.
It's no longer enough to throw an expensive rug on the floor, buy some kitsch furniture, decorate each room differently and put the word 'boutique' somewhere in the name. Mine Hotel appears to go further in justifying its quality claim by offering a truly well-considered design and utmost professionalism. Every detail is designed to be harmonious, from the bedspreads to the lighting.
Mark Beken (Staff)
When you walk in to Mine, you immediately feel uplifted. Maybe it's the smell, maybe it's the splashes of color, or the feng shui. Whatever it is, Mine manages to provide a very relaxing environment and a sense of well-being at a remarkable price. It's never going to be THE place to stay in Buenos Aires, but you can easily pay twice as much for half of what you get at Mine. It's also got a great location right in the heart of the best shopping and eating in Buenos Aires. I thought that the standard rooms were pretty pinched, and would definitely recommend upgrading to a Deluxe Room.
