My love of travel began in high school when I visited Europe to play volleyball. From that point, I’ve seized every chance to explore that’s come my way. I've been lucky enough to travel through most of Southern and Eastern Africa, being immersed in culture, wildlife and landscapes of South Africa, Botswana, Zambia and Malawi. I've run a marathon in Kenya and trekked mountain gorillas in Rwanda.
I’ve had the joy of getting lost in European cities; traveling across Australia in a van; trekking the Incan trails of Peru; zip-lining through Costa Rican rain forest; surfing famous breaks in Baja; hiking some of America’s most beautiful parks, climbing sheer rock face; traversing glaciers in New Zealand; snorkeling in Fiji; swimming on the edge of Victoria Falls and bungee jumping off of one of the world’s largest bridges.
Whether I’m planning a night out or a family journey of epic proportions, I’m passionate about create memorable experiences. I’m an outdoors nut, love health and wellness, and am big on environmental and animal conservation.
I’ve been a science teacher, health coach, volleyball coach, and dabbled in corporate wellness. When I found myself leading university classes on educational trips around the globe, I quickly got to know the ins and outs of the travel industry. I was hooked, and the rest is history.
What my guests have said
"First and foremost, THANK YOU SO MUCH for everything that went into planning this trip. Andrew and I were completely blown away by how well everything was put together so seamlessly. The trip was absolutely perfect, and we're already fantasizing about our next vacation. I've also been raving about you and Scott Dunn to all of my friends since we returned."
"Thank you so much for arranging such an enchanting and inspiring experience, Lyndsey. Botswana is magical and I'd very highly recommend it to everyone."
"Where we stayed, the beds were heavenly, the views gorgeous and the food delicious. Unfortunately, I was unwell on my trip but I was looked after beautifully! The staff were lovely about it."
"The trip you put together for us was amazing! I will cherish these memories for a lifetime. Each experience was unique in its own way. Jao camp was so beautiful and the water based activities appealed to us greatly. Flying through the Okavango Delta on channels barely six feet wide, rounding a sharp bend to come face to face with a herd of buffalo, or red lechwes leaping across our path, and meeting a hippo face of face were thrilling and unforgettable."
"Chiawa, I soon realized, is the elephant capital of Zambia. We arrived to find an elephant right by the main lodge, almost like he was welcoming us into camp. The first night I barely slept as another elephant took a liking to the abundant seed pods lying on the ground RIGHT OUTSIDE! I could hear him chomping all night long and I was afraid to make a sound lest he realized I was there literally inches away--what a thrill!"
"What can I say, Tongabezi was so romantic and beautiful. Forbes, our valet, answered every wish, even those we hadn't asked for. Thank you Lyndsey for putting together such a beautiful memory for us."
"It was such an amazing experience. I loved every second of it. You did such a good job of really understanding what I wanted – it was exactly what I wanted.”
Favourite places I've been
- Once you’re done packing, take half of the clothes you’ve chosen. It will probably still be too much!
- Bring photographs of your life at home - friends, family, vacations - to share with the locals.
- On safari, resist the urge to request to see a specific species or animal. Trust your guides to give you the best experience.
- Take a handful of extra Ziplock and plastic baggies. Trust me on this one, you'll use them for everything.
- Enjoy the moment and worry less about getting the perfect photo.
