Reviews
Camilla Swift (Staff)
Hotel Captain Cook has a good downtown location within walking distance of shops, restaurants and museums, yet just 12 minutes from the airport. Service is very good and staff are friendly and extremely helpful in organising local excursions and making recommendations to make the most of a short visit to Anchorage. 1970s style decor with a wealth of dark wood, good size bathrooms and Junior Suites a nice option for guests wanting more space, and definitely worth opting for a Bay View room looking out over the Cook Inlet. Large paintings and murals throughout the public areas of the hotel depicting Captain Cook's voyages are a nice touch. Excellent a la carte breakfast menu, as well as a coffee shop for quicker 'grab and go' option.
