Loro Parque Tenerife
A world of adventure awaits at one of Tenerife's favourite family attractions, Loro Parque. Located in Puerto Cruz around 1 hour and 20 minutes drive away, you'll need to allow a full day away from the sun to enjoy all the park has to offer.
Famous for its many parrots, it’s a sanctuary to a wide selection of endangered species from around the world. These blend perfectly with the sea lion, dolphin and orca live shows, which are available throughout the day. The park covers a vast area around 135,000m2 and includes some great places to eat and drink along the way, such as Grill and Bar Patio de Loro for freshly barbecued steaks, chicken and kebabs to the Bambu Bar which is perfect as a stop gap for younger adventurers. Kinderlandia, the children’s area is in site of the Bambu Bar, so you keep an eye on little ones whilst you eat.
The parks latest attraction Katandra Treetops is an Australian themed jungle and treetop pathway that weaves through a section of the park, here you can discover the birds in their natural habitat and even visit the parrot baby station and museum.
Other attractions include the Thai Village, Aqua Viva and Planet Penguin, which prides itself on having the largest collection of penguins outside Arctic regions.
