Having afternoon tea at The Mount Nelson hotel is a must do for anyone wanting to indulge in luxury whilst staying in Cape Town. An iconic experience, Mount Nelson Hotel puts on a lavish afternoon tea from 14.30 onwards, complete with a wide variety of loose-leaf teas and elegant finger sandwiches.
Whilst the tea menu, designed by tea specialists Mingwei Tsai and Joel Singer is extensive, we recommend being adventurous and trying one of the Chinese flowering teas, or the Mount Nelson Hotel Special Blend that combines over six locally supplied blended teas. The Mount Nelson is close by to the Table Mountain, and tea is held in the Terrace and around the garden Fountain.
