Village Walk trail 18b

The Village Walk is a great choice of those who are not mad on trekking but love some great views as the trail can be picked up from many points along the way shortening it. The trail takes you through mountain villages with their terraced farms and former falaj irrigation systems and offers superb views over Wadi Muhaydin along the way. Keep an eye out for fossilised corral or a rose water distillery in action. The change of seasons in the region also brings about a significant change of scenery with different crops, fruits and plants appearing at different times of year making it very unique. The trek officially ends or starts at Sayq and Al Aqur, but it is up to you whether you want to walk the whole trail or enjoy little snippets of it.

Please note that this trek cannot be done directly from the hotels in the mountains. You will need to travel by car to the start point, and then travel by car back to your hotel. The journey time each way can be 1-2 hours.
