The historical Ibiza old town is enclosed within the ramparts of the Unesco-listed Dalt Vila, and here you will find cobbled-streets and an abundance of shops and restaurants that are worth visiting. However, it's outside the big towns that Ibiza takes on a completely different feel. Pine-clad hills and tranquil coves give way to smaller hamlets and the beauty of the island is then revealed. For a tiny island, there is a dazzling number of beaches, 50 in fact, and an abundance of aquarmarine bays to explore. The island offers the chance to sample some incredible cuisine and there are literally hundreds of mouth watering restaurants to choose from. Many of the beaches have chic beach bars and clubs providing the perfect base for a day out. Cala Jondal is only 15 minutes from Ibiza Town and the stunning small coves of Cala d'Hort and Cala Vadella, which both overlook the island of Es Vedra is only a 10 minute drive from Sant Josép. The more secluded north-coast and south-western parts of the island do offer the perfect locations to relax, replenish and reconnect with family and friends, especially if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of the capital, Ibiza Town and San Antonio.
