Location & Directions

Lech, Austria

The Hotel Golderner Berg is in Oberlech, with easy access to the entire Arlberg ski srea. The lift system and regular shuttle service between Lech, Zurs, Stuben, St Christoph and St Arlberg enables you to ski the entire area very easily. The Rüfikopf cable car takes Lech skiers to the west-facing slopes of Zürs and the start of the Lech-Zürs-Lech circuit, which can only be done in a clockwise direction and is called the ‘White Ring’.

When to go

Lech has an enviable reputation for its snow and averages about seven meters over the season. The Eastern Alps frequently benefit from early snow and the largely pastoral terrain does not need a hugely deep base to offer great skiing conditions. As a result, Lech frequently offers some of the best skiing in the Alps early in the season. The microclimate means that snowfalls are more prolific than in many other resorts and with plenty of skiing above 2000 meters, conditions can be great right up until the end of the season.
