Occupying a prime position in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, the Loews Regency New York Hotel offers a luxurious base for your city explorations. It first opened its doors in 1963 and prides itself on old-fashioned hospitality and service, in a modern and stylish setting. Located on Park Avenue, you have all the buzz of New York around you and restaurants, museums and city attractions right on your doorstep. Central Park is just two blocks away.
There is a hair salon and spa, run by the renowned Julien Farel, and a fitness center if you've overindulged at dinner the day before. Guests can also make use of the house car, available for use within a 20 block radius (on a first-come, first-served basis). The Sant Ambroeus Coffee Bar is inspired by the mix of Italian heritage and New York style, and serves delicious freshly baked signature pastries, sandwiches and Milanese coffee all day. Or enjoy a bit of people watching at the trademark Power Breakfast, where you can enjoy your eggs Benedict while the city's business and political leaders start their day and close deals. The Regency Bar and Grill serves meals throughout the day including afternoon tea, and the Lobby Lounge is the perfect place for a pre-dinner cocktail or a cappuccino after a day's shopping and sightseeing.
There are 379 guest rooms here, including 58 sophisticated suites, newly renovated in cool mineral colors. You can expect crisp linens, comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms and all the mod cons, from smart TVs to free WiFi and plenty of plug sockets for charging your gadgets. Families are well catered to, with many rooms able to accommodate extra beds for the little ones, and a Loews Love Kids program which includes toys, strollers, nightlights, kids DVDs, special menus and babysitting.
All rooms enjoy amenities including Frette bed linens, luxurious bathrobes, professional Julien Farel hairdryer, iron and board, safe, 47-inch flat screen TV with movies on demand, free WiFi as well as 24-hour room service and a dry-cleaning and laundry service.
Loews pride themselves in doing what they can to make travel stress-free for families, whether you have toddlers or teenagers in tow. For youngsters, babysitting is available, child-proof kits for under 4's, children's menus, toys and games, age-appropriate DVDs, car seats, strollers and night lights. For teens and tweens, there's a lending library of games, DVD players, Gameboys and a music download card. The hotel provides age-appropriate lists of New York attractions, restaurants and activities for when you're out and about, too.

When to go
Summer or winter, rain or shine, there's always great stuff going on in New York, so when you're planning a trip, there's no real "best" or "worst" time to go. Weather wise fall and spring are the best times in New York. From April to June and September to November, temperatures are mild and pleasant, and the light is beautiful. Summers can be hot and humid while winter snowfalls are not uncommon.
September to December is conference season in New York, and we would advise booking early for travel during this period.
