Introducing Namibia's newest luxury camp, Hoanib Valley Camp. This eco friendly camp is small and intimate with only six luxury tents and is in a prime spot for wildlife viewing with a key interest in conservation.
With an emphasis on "clean and green" this brand new eco camp based in the skeleton coast is a welcome addition to this region. Sitting on the bank of the Obias River, Hoanib Valley Camp looks out over a linear oasis of vegetation, running through a large expanse of stunning African desert.
In Partnership with the local Sesfontein Community and the Giraffe Conservation Foundation the Hoanib Valley Camp focuses heavily on supporting its local community and the on going conservation of the area with a particular focus on its resident giraffe population. The camp also aims to leave virtually no footprint on its environment and will run entirely on solar power.
Six luxury tents are raised on decks with en suite bathrooms and a private veranda. Decorated in a contemporary style with a neutral palette, these tents are stylish but also in keeping with its environment. Meg Shepro (Staff)
Hoanib Valley Camp is a lovely oasis set deep in the desert of northern Namibia. During my stay I enjoyed game drives in search of ostrich, oryx, springbok and deserted adapted elephant and giraffe, a magnificent site in the harsh desert surroundings. The staff are all local to the area and are incredibly kind and welcoming, ensuring a truly pleasant stay in the desert.
