Perched high on the ‘roof of the world’, Tibet experiences a diverse plateau climate, with temperatures decreasing as you increase in altitude and latitude. Lhasa is pleasant year-round, with warm summers and chilly winters, but plenty of sunshine year round. Interestingly, most of the rain falls at night, making exploring the city a joy even during the rainier summer months. Due to its extreme altitude, Tibet experiences the strongest solar radiation in China, so you can expect plenty of sunshine! The winter months are predictably cold, with a surprising lack of snow for such a mountainous region. Temperature variations in a 24-hour period can be startling, often showcasing ‘four seasons in one day’ so be sure to pack plenty of layers for your Tibetan adventure.

Accessibly remote, bask in the beauty of Tibet's Switzerland at the county's first international brand resort with stunning Himalayan setting and design elements which blend both Chinese and Royal Tibetan influences.

Hugged by the Yarlung Zangbo River against the backdrop of the jutting Himalayan mountains, Hilton Linzhi Resort is accessibly remote, offering an exceptional setting amidst 1,000 acres of land where the beautiful Ludlow's tree peonies are grown, while being only 7 kilometres away from the Nyingchi Mainling Airport.

Each of the 220 rooms and suites features Chinese decoration with a dash of Royal Tibetan elements. Rooms start from spacious 46sqm with a plush bed, 42-inch flat-screen TV, WiFi and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking either the Himalayas or the Yarlung Zangbo River.

For dining, choose from either the FEAST Chinese restaurant with seasonal ingredients, the REGA all-day casual dining with an open kitchen showcasing both Western and Asian cuisine, THE ADDRESS' rooftop bar with DJ-led live entertainment, as well as the VERTICAL lobby lounge for an afternoon coffee, tea and snacks.

Keeping fit on-the-go is a breeze, with a fitness room, indoor pool and a whirpool. For entertainment, head to the private VIP cinema, private karaoke rooms, the mahjong room or enjoy a range of other recreational facilities. In-house facilities include ATM, foreign currency exchange, baggage storage, beauty salon, snack shop, gift shop, laundry and valet services.

Children are very welcomed at the property. There is a kid's club, playground and child care centre. Babysitting services and children's activities can be arranged at prior request.

Other scenic spots within reasonable access from the resort includes the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, Namjagbarwa Mountain, Basum Lake and Nanyi Ditch Scenic Spot.
