The summer months of June, July, August and September tend to be the most popular times to pay a visit to Niagara on the Lake, with fine weather and long days. However, if you are choosing a summer stay in Niagara on the Lake you won't be alone and this is not a quiet time, with much competition for accommodation and trips on the various boat tours around Niagara Falls itself,which operate from April through October.
Come winter, the tourism scene around Niagara on the Lake does not vanish and the town's popularity is maintained through a series of quality, seasonal events, such as the ever-popular Winter Festival of Lights. Periods of snow and rain are likely during the winter months.
Niagara-on-the-Lake is famous for its annual Shaw Festival, which runs from April to October.

Offering just 31 rooms each cosily furnished with feather top beds and little luxuries such as down duvets, fireplaces, whirlpool baths and entertainment systems this is the perfect spot to escape to for a couple of days.
The hotel offers a sumptuous breakfast yet allows its guests to discover the fine dining of Niagara on the Lake for themselves during the rest of the day and evening. For Niagara is a town to be enjoyed, not only for dining and shopping but also for the ever increasing wineries of the region, now well established in this little corner of Ontario. Harbour House even offers a sampling of wines each evening for guests to enjoy and perhaps chat about their day.
