To start planning your holiday to Casa Grande Hotel
Casa Grande Hotel is located in the heart of Zona Sur, La Paz’s residential area to the south of the city and within reach of restaurants, cafes and shopping. It makes a comfortable and convenient base for exploring La Paz's cultural charms.
The Casa Grande Hotel has 65 rooms and is located outside of the centre in the quieter but well-connected suburbs to the south of La Paz, Bolivia's bustling capital. Its location, at around 3,300m above sea level (relatively low altitude for La Paz), means that it makes for a gentler acclimatisation than many other hotels in the downtown and further north.
Casa Grande's comfortable rooms and suites come equipped with modern amenities such as individual climate controls, WiFi and flat-screen TVs. Some rooms also feature private balconies with city views and bathrooms with spa baths. Recreational amenities include an indoor pool, a health club, a spa, a sauna, and a steam room.
The cobbled streets of La Paz are home to many sights including the Cathedral, Government Palace, Coca Museum, Casa Murillo, San Francisco Church and the fascinating witchcraft market.
City tours and day trips can be arranged to the ancient Tiahuanaco Ruins, the historic Chacaltaya, Lake Titicaca, Suriqui Island and the Moon Valley.
Casa Grande Hotel has 65 guest rooms including a presidential suite, decorated in a simple modern style. All rooms come with WiFi and air conditioning.
Children are welcome at the hotel, and babysitting can be arranged upon request. Casa Grande has the option of interconnecting rooms.
Facilities at the Casa Grande include Yerba Buena restaurant, Casabar, Puro café & ice-cream parlour, wellness area with sauna and steam room, jacuzzi, fitness centre and spa and indoor heated swimming pool.
Swimming, spa treatments, and exploring La Paz, Bolivia's bustling capital city, whose historic quarter is home to a wealth of lively market stalls, museums, churches and other fine colonial buildings.

Casa Grande Hotel is perfect for travelers seeking a reliable and comfortable option in a centrally located area of the city. Casa Grande is ideal for acclimitizing to altitude because it is in one of the lowest areas of La Paz, and offers ample create comforts following a long flight. Indulge in a swim in the pool, arrange a massage appointment or enjoy a drink at the bar before a comfortable nights rest. Complimentary wifi, flat screen televisions, mini bars, and modern bathrooms with rain showers and plush bathrobes will ensure you total comfort and the staff is very friendly - just let them know how they can assist you!
Located on a quiet street just off the Prado, the Hotel Europa is an island of calm in this city of chaos. It is undoubtedly the best hotel in La Paz and resembles more an upscale business-style American hotel than anything from the old continent as its name implies. The large, cream-colored rooms have fancy green and white carpets, built-in desks, and fresh plants. Mattresses are firm and all beds come with luxurious down comforters. The spacious bathrooms have white tiles and marble sinks. The Hotel Europa is the only hotel in Bolivia to have floor heating and a state-of-the-art air-circulation system. The suites are all full apartments with kitchenettes; some even have Jacuzzis. Opened in 1998, it is still relatively new by Bolivian standards but could definitely do with a makeover. The staff are very friendly and helpful but service can be patchy and there seems to be a perpetual shortage of slippers. Expect your first shot of coca tea when you arrive.
