La Paz's location and altitude result in two seasons: rainy and dry. The rainy season typically lasts from December to March, with the heaviest rains arriving in January and February. The best time to visit La Paz and the surrounding Andean area is during April-November. Day time temperatures are spring like and the sun is generally strong, however due to the altitude it can feel quite cold at night and in the early morning. We recommend wearing layers.
