Christmas festivities fade away and planning for New Year begins. Courchevel has an array of activities planned for the New Year week.
Monday 28th December:
Running until the 30th December, a light show will be taking place on the Place du Rocher. Every 30 minutes between 6pm and 10pm lasting seven minues, the light show will project lights and videos onto the rock face and the bell tower, combined with mood setting music. It’s one not to be missed.
New Year festival: From the 28th-30th December Courchevel are putting on a series of events across the resort, including concerts, shows and much more.
Tuesday 29th December:
Charmallow party 4pm: Roasted marshmallows and fire pits. This free event is sure to be a winner. It is at the Place du Forum in Courchevel 1850, or the Place du Bachal in Courchevel Moriond.
Wednesday 30th December:
Ice skating gala 6pm: Internationally renowned ice skaters take to the ice to put on a fantastic show in Courchevel this week. Tickets start at 15€ for children and 20€ for adults. The show will take place at the Courchevel ice rink.
Thursday 31st December:
New Year’s Eve dance party: The biggest party in Courchevel takes place at the foot of the slopes in 1850, as a night of DJs, dancing and fireworks awaits all in Courchevel. Watch the video below to get excited for the festivities ahead. 10.30pm to 2.30am.
Friday 1st December:
Torchlight descent 7.30-9.30pm: Every Friday, you can enjoy a Savoyard meal at Le Pilatus on the slopes of 1850 and ski down after your meal with a first tracks ski instructor. You can choose between a fire torch or electric torch to illuminate your path down from the mountain. Available for skiers who can link turns on blue and green pistes.

This weekly round up will give you a taste of the events taking place in Courchevel next week, helping you have a magical Christmas vacation.
Sunday 20th December:
FIS Women’s Alpine Ski World Cup 9am-2.15pm: Courchevel plays host to the world’s top female skiers, as they tackle the Giant Slalom course. In between their first and second run, the cyclist from the Tinkoff cycling team will be putting on a show with the Classic Tennis Tour champions. With festivities running throughout the day, this is one not to be missed.

Monday 21st December:
Christmas in Courchevel: The most wonderful time of the year is coming to one of the most magical places in the world. At 6pm everyday from 21st December-24th December, Santa will be arriving on the piste at each of the Courchevel villages. He will visit Courchevel village on 21st December on the snow front, Le Praz at the square of the chapel on 22nd December, Courchevel Moriond center on 23rd December and Courchevel snow front itself on Christmas eve.
Tuesday 22nd December:
JonOne live 12pm-3pm: A live performance by the street artist JonOne in the Cap Horn restaurant. He will be painting a 2x3m canvas live in the restaurant, accompanied by the sound of a DJ.
