For Belize’s best weather, visit between the months of December to April. Expect warm weather and a great deal of sunshine as well as excellent snorkelling opportunities. Avoiding travel between June to October is recommended as daily heavy rainfall is common. Hurricanes are possible between August and October.

Begin your Belizean adventure completely off-grid at the charmingly rustic Lamanai Outpost Lodge. This is one of those unique places that simply cannot be missed, especially if you are into your wildlife, you’ll be left with unforgettable memories. Don’t forget your binoculars as you embark on sunrise walks to spot monkeys and toucans whilst listening to the jungle waking up. Discover the remnants of a 3000-year-old Maya city, just moments from the lodge. Take sunset canoe expeditions to view manatees, crocodiles and otters or after dinner head out into the night on a jungle-riverboat, armed with a flashlight in search of nocturnal creatures. With three nights here, you'll have ample opportunity to fully immerse yourself into the jungle setting and meet with its inhabitants.

The Lodge at Chaa Creek offers an exceptional remote adventure experience in the heart of a pristine nature reserve. Spend your days exploring the jungle walkways and get more acquainted with its residents including toucans, hummingbirds and butterflies. There are night walks where you can get up close and personal with the jungle's nocturnal animals including armadillos, owls and agoutis. Other activities include horse riding and mountain biking through the forest. For a unique tree-top perspective you can fly through the canopy on an exhilarating zipline or take to a kayak and float through a series of cave systems, some of which house fascinating Mayan relics.

Surrounded by tropical flora and fauna, Hamanasi is the perfect combination of reef and rainforest, offering both adventure and relaxation. The lush tropical gardens combined with the beautiful long stretches of white sand, turquoise waters, and swaying palm trees makes it feel like you are staying in the garden of Eden.
There are great birdwatching opportunities in the area, look out for southern sting rays whilst you take walks along the beach, swim with sea turtles just mere metres away from your sun lounger, jump in a kayak and paddle down waterways teeming with wildlife (including crocodiles) or head deeper into the jungle for more adrenaline inducing zip-lining or enjoy a history tour at the ruins of Xunantunich.

Ambergris Caye, Ambergris Caye & Private Islands, Belize
After all this excitement and adventure, it's now time to head to the beach for a healthy dose of relaxation. Take to the sky and enjoy stunning views of the magnificently turquoise Caribbean waters as you fly across to the paradise island of Ambergris Caye. A few days at the elegantly luxurious Victoria House is just what everyone needs after a week spent exploring Belize’s wilderness.
Spend your last few days simply lounging around on sumptuous daybeds beside the inviting swimming pool whilst sipping on a fruity cocktail and finishing your holiday read. Grab a mask and snorkel and dive off the pier, opportunities to swim with nurse sharks, sting and eagle rays as well as moray eel and trumpet fish will make for an incredible marine experience. Enjoy delicious fresh seafood (the grilled lobster is a must) at the hotel restaurant and take full advantage of the hotel's spectacular service. For a real treat, take a helicopter ride over the Great Blue Hole to see one of the world's most fascinating natural ocean formations.
