Located on the Luleå archipelago, Brändön Lodge features 15 charming two-bedroom log cabins overlooking the sea. With a wealth of activities available, Brändön Lodge makes for an ideal base from which to explore the Lappish wilderness anytime of the year.
The stand-alone cabins are set around a main central lodge where the restaurant is situated, so you have your own space and privacy. The central lodge also offers a cosy living room area where you can relax by the roaring fire and reflect on your day's experiences. The secluded location of the lodge has very little light pollution, so you have a good chance of seeing the Northern Lights from here on a clear evening, which is wonderfully reflected by the frozen sea.
The coastal location of the lodge makes it the perfect place to enjoy an array of activities in both winter and summer. In winter highlights include husky sledding, snowmobiles and reindeer sleigh rides, as well as our personal favourites, a hovercraft ride over the frozen lake or dinner on the ice.
During the summer or autumn the surrounding nature is calling out to be explored either by foot, bike or kayak. Your personable hosts can recommend a plethora of activities including guided foraging and seal safaris.
Each cabin has two bedrooms which can be set up as twin or doubles, alongside a cosy living room area, small kitchenette and bathroom.
Children are more than welcome at Brändön Lodge however there are no specific childcare facilities.
Brändön Lodge has a central lodge where the restaurant is located upstairs and a living room downstairs. They offer delicious dishes with a focus on the delicacies of Swedish Lapland such as reindeer and arctic char.
Thanks to its location on the coast, Brändön Lodge opens up an array of activities out on sea, ranging from hovercraft adventures, snowmobiling on the archipelago or through the forest, dog sledding and dinners under the Northern Lights in winter.
In the summer you can kayak, cycle or even try out fishing, making this an excellent choice for an active family holiday.

How to get there
Fly to Stockholm and then on to Luleå Airport (a one-hour 15-minute domestic flight). From here it is a 40-minute drive to Brändön Lodge.
