On arrival at Kiruna Airport, your hosts will whisk you to Fjellborg Homestead, a short 15-minute drive away. After a light meal in the welcoming lounge, guests are provided with warm Arctic clothing by the upscale Swedish clothing brand, Fjällräven, before a thrilling dog sled ride to the Master Cabin.
Your hosts will instruct you in the art of driving your own team of huskies and you are welcome to take the reins for the 1-hour ride. Alternatively, you can ride on the guide’s sled if you prefer. Great fires and a warm drink are waiting to welcome you for your two-night stay in the exclusive Master Cabin, with lakeside sauna and outdoor hot tub. All meals are provided, and dinner is served by a private chef in the Main Lodge.
After breakfast the following day, you head out with your hosts for some ice fishing. With reindeer hides for warmth, ice drills and fishing gear, any fish you catch can be given to the chef to cook for supper. Next up is a snowmobiling trip to the famous Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi. Enjoy a guided tour with lunch, before heading home for a sauna and hot tub before dinner.
Before departing the following day, enjoy a snowshoe trek taking hot chocolate and homemade snacks to enjoy along the way. Again, there is the choice to drive your own team of huskies back to Fjellborg Homestead, where you can change clothes and prepare for your transfer and flight from Kiruna Airport.
