Starting out at around 10.30am, you will begin by heading to the local market in Galle town. Here, marvel at the exotic fruit and vegetables on offer, some of which can only be found in these parts of the world. Your host will explain the key ingredients used in Sri Lankan cuisine as you walk around, picking out some staples as well as more unusual ingredients like lotus root and banana blossom.

Next, you will travel on to a local village nearby where you will cook in a wattle and daub hut. Temper, fry, boil and caramelise some local delicacies and see how coconut milk is made. Finally, enjoy all your hard work and sit down to eat your delicious meal.

This experience will end around 2.30pm when your driver will pick you up and transfer you back to your hotel.
