Wattura Resort & Spa is both a wellness focussed and family oriented luxury coastal hotel just 40 minutes away from the international airport so a great option at the start or end of a Sri Lankan adventure to ensure easy connection to the airport.

Wattura Resort & Spa is a beautiful boutique hotel of just 27 rooms, offering both suites and villas which feel spacious and private. Although a boutique property, Wattura boasts plenty of space, situated along the west coast of Sri Lanka, nestled between Waikkal beach and the Gin Oya estuary in its own cul-de-sac. Wattura is the Sinhala term for water, which surrounds and passes through the resort creating a tropical and serene atmosphere.

The style of the property combines Sri Lankan architecture with a hint of modernity, with polished concrete floors, reclaimed columns and reused clay tiles on the roofs. The design is simplistic but with the right amount of attention to detail, such as the unique hand painted tiles in each of the bathrooms. Wattura focusses on wellness with a fantastic spa offering a variety of carefully created treatments and rituals to energize your mind, body and soul derived from the elements of river mud and crystals to endemic herbs and plants. There is also a Hyrdo Lounge to relax in at your own pace. The hotel is also very family oriented with a fantastic kids club with its very own wet zone including water slides and water cannons! As well as indoor space and plenty of activities to keep all ages entertained. There are food options to specifically cater to the little ones too. Being just 30 minutes away from the international airport, Wattura would make a great first or last stop in Sri Lanka.
