From May to August the Yala monsoon brings rain to the island’s south western half. The southwest has the highest rainfall – up to 4000mm a year. There is also an inter-monsoonal period in October and November when rain can occur in many parts of the island. Colombo and the low-lying coastal regions have an average temperature of 27°C. The sea stays at around 27°C all year. Climatically speaking, the driest (and best) seasons in Sri Lanka are from December to March for the west and south coasts.

Ani Villa is located the beautiful coastline of Dickwella. Made up of two totally private villas, this is your very own private resort. Enjoy a game of tennis, spa treatments and all-inclusive food and drinks during your stay, everything is taken care of.
Made up of Villa Monara and Villa Divia, there are a total of fifteen bedrooms at Ani Villas spread over five acres. Each villa can be taken separately however, with its own pool and separate kids pool with a water slide to splash about in. Rest assured you will have the utmost privacy in your own private resort.
Located in the small village of Kaluketiya Watta in Dickwella, enjoy the panoramic views here. Laced with palm trees, wind your way down the wooden steps to the small beach. Although not swimmable, it's a lovely setting for a morning walk and close by Nilwella is a great spot for swimming and surfing.
With an all-inclusive concept, your stay includes delectable food paired with a selection of fine wines and spirits as well as relaxing spa treatments. For dinner, the chef can liaise with you to discuss your likes, dislikes and any other dietary requirements. Enjoy a sunset seafood barbecue, a party under the stars complete with a DJ playing your favourite chilled out tunes; nothing is too much trouble.
All suites at Ani Villas come complete with en suite bathrooms and for families with younger children there are connecting twin rooms which can sleep up to three kids. Each bedroom is tasteful and modern and are all sea facing, meaning you can wake up to the sound of the lapping waves.
Ani Villas is a small and personal private resort, with only 15 suites located around the site, they all promise to provide a luxurious and personal environment with generous in room amenities.
Children are welcome at Ani Villas and there is plenty of space for them to run around. Each villa has a separate kids pool to one side, complete with a long water slide. They will also love playing table tennis, enjoying the tennis court and can even partake in the Children's activity program. Organised by the staff, this includes everything from treasure hunts and crafts to cooking classes.
Ani Villas has a dedicated staff which includes expert chefs who will liaise with you to serve up an array of dishes which suit your tastes. All this and more, your stay will include a gourmet menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as snacks and a mini bar. You will also receive premier spirits and house wines with your stay.
There's plenty to keep everyone entertained at this private estate. Within the grounds, there is a tennis court where you can enjoy complimentary lessons or adjacent to this make use of the gym with your very own personal trainer who is at your beckon call. Cycling tours are also included in your stay as well as a daily Ayurvedic treatment at the estate's private spa. Wake early for some yoga or meditation before a treatment followed by lunch and time lazing by the pool.
