Game Drives are at the heart of the Garonga experience, allowing guests to encounter the Big Five up close in the Makalali Conservancy. Your stay will typically include a morning and afternoon game drive in their open safari vehicle with professional guides and trackers.

Those looking to get even more up close and personal with nature can go on safari walks with a professional game ranger. Safari walks are a fantastic way of seeing animal tracks, learning more about the flora and fauna and seeing certain species of birds more closely, it is certainly a highlight.

Aside from the game viewing activities, there are a few optional but complimentary activities that are best to book in advance based at the lodge:

Lounge in a delightful bubble bath over looking the surrounding landscape. This “bush bath” is incredibly popular and is a unique experience. Lay back with a glass of wine in hand and enjoy the sounds of the bush. 
Those wanting to have a truly unique experience can enjoy a sleep out in the Garonga tree house where guests can enjoy a private dinner overlooking a waterhole and then snuggle into a cosy four poster bed surrounded by the sounds of the African bush. This is a must for those enjoying a romantic retreat or on honeymoon.

Other activities available at the lodge come at an additional charge, such as a selection of lovely massage treatments or maybe even go in an exhilarating flight in a micro light and enjoy the conservancy from the air.
