Weather-wise, the best times to go are spring and autumn. Marrakesh is very hot in the summer months of July and August, a dry but extremely relentless heat. By the end of October the evenings are cold, although the midday sun is still warm enough to bask in. The weather in winter, from November to March, ranges from cold and rainy to sunny days, warm enough to sit outside.

The Fairmont Royal Palm is a luxury hotel just 12km south of central Marrakech. It has expansive beautiful grounds, an assortment of gorgeous rooms, four tantalising restaurants and extensive facilities, including one of Marrakech's best golf courses.
The Royal Palm has gained a reputation as one of the very best hotels in the vicinity of Marrakech. The hotel is built in a modern style but with decor and furnishings designed to reflect the traditional local Berber culture of the area.
The huge 231 hectare estate is complete with an 18-hole golf course, sports centre, three restaurants, spacious villas and suites and a spa. The grounds are adorned with newly planted but aged olive trees, lush vegetations and seasonal flowers. There is a large outdoor pool and plenty of areas to relax with a book.
The wonders of Marrakech and its medinas are just 12 kilometers away and the concierge service at the hotel will happily organise any tours, guides and transportation. Further afield there are many hiking opportunities with the Atlas Mountains being reasonably close by for a day trip. A range of activities and excursions in the Atlas can be pre-arranged or organised directly with the concierge team at the hotel.

There is a total of 135 suites and villas at Royal Palm Marrakech. The wide range of categories that there is a type to suit all guests, whether travelling as a family, couple or group. All suites and villas open onto the golf course or gardens so it feels like a little village rather than being in a hotel block. Childcare
Royal Palm Marrakech welcomes children of all ages and is a particularly practical and fun place for children to stay at in Marrakech. Most suites can accommodate an extra bed or cot and the two-bedroom suites and villas are very practical for larger families.
There is a kids' club on site for children aged 3 to 12 years old which is open from 8am to midnight. The fun play area and trained professional staff keep children entertained in a fun but safe environment. You can also request a babysitting service with 24 hours notice.
Facilities
Royal Palm Marrakech is home to three superb restaurants all offering differing cuisine and atmosphere to suit your preferences. Le Caravane is the hotel's main restaurant which is located on the ground floor and is open for breakfast, seasonal lunch and dinner. It offers a diverse international menu, breakfast is a traditional American buffet and dinner is an a la carte affair. Al Ain is the place to head to for traditional Moroccan cuisine for dinner. L'Olivier is an informal restaurant with its poolside location and it is open for lunch when you can enjoy a light meal and a refreshing drink. There is also Cigar Cellar which is the hotel's bar offering a fun atmosphere and musical entertainment at night.
The Spa by Clarins uses as the name suggests, Clarins products in all the offered treatments. The spa offers many amenities and includes several massage cabins, a pool, saunas, hammams, a hair and beauty salon and a make-up room.
Activities
The formal imperial city of Marrakech has a rich culture and historical past for visitors to explore. Known as the Red City as a result of its red sandstone walls, it is just 12km away from the hotel. The Medina is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is definitely worth a visit with its intertwining alleys and passageways complete with vibrant and colourful shops and stalls. Marrakech is known for its souks, the traditional never ending markets are full of stalls offering local handicrafts, spices, clothing, pottery, rugs and souvenirs and is a fun way to shop and buy some unique items. There are many other attractions such at El Badi Palace, Koutoubiya Mosque and Dar Si Said Museum.
