Here you can find three endemic species; Belding's Yellowthroat, Gray Thrasher and Xantus' hummingbirds, along with a range of both resident and migrant birds. The estuary is one of the only sources of fresh water in Baja California and so is heavily relied upon by the abundant life that frequents the area meaning fantastic sightings are almost guaranteed.
