Average time to visit
The best time to visit is typically during the drier, slightly milder months between November and April. The ‘rainy’ season begins in the south around June and runs until November. Although it can be hotter and more humid at this time of year, usually it only rains for a couple of hours before the weather clears. The wettest months tend to be September and October. The Caribbean coast can be affected by the hurricane season, which officially is from June to November.

Boasting a wide stretch of white sand beach, an off-shore coral reef and sandwiched between the Caribbean Sea and verdant jungle, Chablé Maroma is perfectly set up for a relaxing beach break on Mexico's Riviera Maya. The focus of the property is to unwind, whether in the privacy of your own suite with private plunge pool, on the gorgeous palm studded beach or in the hotel's impressive spa.
There are 70 suites which are dotted throughout the jungle, all beautifully blending Mexican and modern style. As well as their own plunge pool, each suite boasts a huge indoor/outdoor shower, a large private terrace and plenty of space for relaxing. The main part of the hotel is home to a swimming pool, the hotel spa and the two restaurants, inspired by the creations of acclaimed Mexican chef Jorge Vallejo. Breakfast is served at the casual poolside restaurant Kaban, which also serves seafood and light dishes throughout the day. Bu'ul and the Raw Bar use a range of fresh Mexican ingredients to create a selection of sophisticated dishes, showcasing Jorge Vallejo's culinary flair.
Activities can also be arranged through the hotel concierge for those that prefer to remain active, including yoga classes, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking and snorkelling. Chablé Maroma provides a perfect escape for couples and honeymooners and even families looking for a chilled out beach break where they will be well looked after.
Each of the 70 suites and villas is dotted throughout the jungle, offering plenty of space and privacy. They are all decorated in a mix of modern and Mexican style, and come complete with private plunge pool, large terrace with plenty of lounge space and elegant bathrooms with indoor/outdoor showers. The 1-bedroom villas can accommodate a king bed or two queen beds, while the 1-bedroom standalone villa has just a king-size bed. There is also a presidential villa which has two bedrooms, each bedroom has its own private bathroom and one has two queen beds making it the perfect choice for families. The private pool of the presidential villa is large enough for a family to enjoy.
There are no specific childcare amenities but babysitting can be arranged on request for an additional charge. Kayaking, paddleboarding and snorkelling can be arranged to keep active kids occupied.
Facilities include a large swimming pool, a spa with separate Jacuzzi and spa pool and two restaurants with menus designed by acclaimed Mexican chef Jorge Vallejo.
Chablé Maroma is centred around relaxation and so guests are invited to enjoy the beach, pool and spa facilities. Yoga classes are also available and snorkelling trips, kayaking and paddleboarding can be arranged. Scott Dunn can also arrange visits to nearby Mayan ruins, trips into Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve and even dinner reservations.
