A camp perfect for the more intrepid traveller who wants a real safari experience
Ngare Serian is the perfect hideaway in the Mara North Conservancy in the Maasai Mara. It is wonderful for guests looking for a romantic and peaceful escape. It is also the most fabulous camp to take exclusively for family gatherings or large groups of friends. There are four spacious tented suites and each of these are situated on a hard wood deck with a veranda overlooking the Mara River.
Serian camps are dedicated to providing the best safari experience possible and so offer private game vehicles to their guests to ensure that each group can go their own way and go on as long or short game drives as they wish. Vehicles can be loaded up with picnics should the wildlife be so thrilling that you wish to stay out all day. There is also a huge private walking concession adjacent to the camp where your guide can take you into the heart of the bush on foot. There is a treehouse located not far from the camp which can either be a wonderful spot for lunch or an adventurous place to camp out for a night and watch the wildlife through the state of the art night vision camera. Hot air ballooning or helicopter rides over the Mara are also available and are a thrilling way to see the landscape from a new perspective.
The tents themselves are so spacious they should really be described as marquees and are light in colour giving them a lovely natural and airy feel and then decorated inside with comfortable antiques giving the camp a real home away from home feel. The beautiful sunken baths provide wonderful views of the river so you can relax in the tub whilst really appreciating your surroundings.
