Average time to visit
The best time to visit the Amalfi Coast and Capri is in spring or late summer, when temperatures are pleasant and humidity levels are low. In July and August the climate is hot and humid, while the area is busy with tourists. Hotels in the Amalfi Coast and on the island of Capri tend to close for the winter, starting in October until they reopen in late March or April.

Capri Tiberio Palace is a stylish hotel located in the heart of Capri's movida, a short walk from the famous Piazzetta. The eclectic decor has a 1950's feel, with beautifully designed rooms and all the amenities you would expect from a 5 star hotel.
Capri Tiberio Palace is perfectly located from which to explore the centre of Capri town, with its many boutiques and walks from upon high to take in the breath-taking views of the sea with Mount Vesuvius in the distance. It is an oasis away from the bustling main piazza, the perfect place to relax and soak up some sun.
The style of the hotel is incredible with bright fresh colours and patterns in a really well thought out 1950's style. The idea is to portray the home of globetrotter, with tickets from all over the world cleverly designed and placed in each of the rooms - none of which are the same.
There is an indoor-outdoor pool, where there are comfortable sun-loungers to relax in the sun. There is also a spa with a sauna, steam room, frigidarium, emotional shower and some lovely treatments on offer too. There is also a fitness room, with state of the art Technogym equipment.
The Jacky Bar is the ideal location for an aperitivo, with an atmosphere similar to that of a combination of Cotton Club and Cuba in the 1950s. Complete with a white grand piano and quirky bar stools that look like they are supported by twigs!
There are 48 rooms and suites at the hotel, each is so individually designed and many have a sea view and a terrace or balcony. They really tastefully done, with splashes of colour, from blues and turquoises, to yellows and corals which work perfectly together. As with the rest of the hotel, there is very much a slightly quirky 1950's touch to the style of the rooms.
There is one main restaurant at the hotel, Terazza Tiberio, which has a terrace with brilliant views over Capri and the sea beyond. Here they offer delicious dishes with a strong focus of Caprese and Mediterranean cuisine, using seasonal ingredients and local produce.
There is also a Kosher-Glatt menu, which is certified by the Orthodox Union and is served in a slightly separate area of the restaurant, combining the Kosher rules and Italian ideas.
Breakfast is served in this same restaurant and it really is a wonderful buffet spread, ranging from cold meats and cheese, to fresh fruits and yogurts and fresh pastries too.
From the hotel, the main town of Capri is just a 5-10 minute walk. There are plenty of boutiques here, so for the fashion lovers it is a dream. There are also some lovely short walks from the hotel, where you can enjoy the views and the windy little streets.

You check in, the apertivo in the lounge bubbling in your glass. The kind hotel staff member leads you to your room. You admire the dcor on the walls, reminiscent of the 50's yet oozing class and modernity. You open your room to find the decor, eclectic yet soothing. You feel you are at home, where you should be, in the room of a globetrotter. Books, globes, and tickets cover the walls and shelves. This experience is uniquely Capri Tiberio Palace. The location is perfect for any shopping, eating, or wandering you may wish to do while on Capri. Set just up the hill from the main centre, you are set just far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet.

I loved the style of Capri Tiberio Palace. I was lucky enough to be in a Studio Suite, which really was lovely, with a large terrace, complete with sun-loungers and a sofa/armchair area too.
