Best time to Visit

Average time to visit
The southern provinces of Hunan, Fujian and Guangzhou are all subject to a humid, subtropical monsoon climate. Weather across these lush areas is typified by long, humid and sweltering summers that bring typhoons, and short, mild winters. Hunnan’s average temperature hovers around 17°C, and the stunning scenery around Zhangjiajie National Forest Park changes with the seasons. The autumn months can be particularly beautiful, with the colourful changing leaves. The coastal province of Fujian experiences some of the heaviest rainfall in China, with the typhoon season falling in the month of August when temperatures and humidity are also at their peak. The same can be said for Guangzhou, making the best seasons to travel to these two subtropical provinces spring and autumn.
