The Fusion Resort Phu Quoc is located on a long stretch of sandy beach, on the island's quiet north-west coast. Beautiful pool villas and an all-inclusive spa concept ensure a wonderfully relaxing stay; the perfect addition to any Vietnam itinerary.
The Fusion Resort Phu Quoc is an ideal escape for those looking to completely relax and unwind. Located in a serene setting, fronted by a wide sandy beach and flanked by a river and lush green fields, this resort offers a peaceful haven to its guests.
As well as a tranquil setting, The Fusion Phu Quoc boasts a fantastic all-inclusive spa concept. Those staying at the resort are entitled to a minimum of two spa treatments per night's stay. Guests are able to choose from a heavenly range of treatments, including massages, scrubs, body wraps, manicures and pedicures. Even wellness activities are included on the menu, with options such as yoga, tai-chi and a personal training session.
The accommodation is also designed with relaxation and peace in mind. The open plan villas use soothing neutral colours and natural materials to create a chic but ever so comfortable space. Large sunken bathtubs mean the indulgence can continue beyond the spa. Each villa also has its own private garden, which houses a good-sized pool and plenty of outdoor living space. There are also two-bedroom, three-bedroom and even five-bedroom villas, meaning this is a good option for families or groups of friends.
Down by the huge sandy beach, you will find the resort's lovely infinity pool. This is also the location for Soul Kitchen, a relaxed bar serving drinks and snacks, and Pezca, a laid-back seafood restaurant. In the main building you will find the Secret Garden restaurant, which serves an international buffet for breakfast, and an a la carte menu of Asian and Western dishes for lunch and dinner.
The Fusion Resort Phu Quoc has 97 villas, either with garden, river or ocean views. There are 1-3 bedroom options for river views, and 1-2 bedroom options for ocean views. There is also a huge five-bedroom Grand Beach Villa, only a few metres from the sand.
All of the villas have their own private pools, and plenty of outdoor living space. The decor is very tasteful, with a neutral colour palette and large living areas.
Children are welcome to stay at the Fusion Resort Phu Quoc, and there is a good Kids Club which has a dedicated play area and activity centre. There are daily activities such as scavenger hunts and team sports.
Children under 12 are not allowed in the spa, however there is a small range of treatments available for teenagers aged 13-16, who will need to be accompanied by an adult.
The Fusion Resort Phu Quoc's spa, Maia, is a real highlight, with 20 double treatment rooms, an outdoor pool, indoor and outdoor yoga areas, steam and sauna rooms, hair and beauty salon and a fitness centre. There is also a lovely main pool down by the beachfront.
There are two restaurants. Pezca is a relaxed beachfront seafood option, and the Secret Garden offers an international buffet for breakfast, and an a la carte menu for lunch and dinner, featuring Western and Asian cuisine. Soul Kitchen is the resort's poolside bar, serving a range of drinks and snacks.
Given the all-inclusive spa concept, guests may well spend a lot of time in the spa. However for those wanting something a little more lively, there are ocean kayaks and beach volleyball and soccer. Phu Quoc also has some great diving and snorkelling sites, and so boat trips can be arranged.

The villas at the Fusion Resort Phu Quoc are wonderful. The dcor is tasteful and fairly neutral, and there are lovely touches like an open-sided rain shower and huge sunken bathtub.
The gardens were still growing in when I visited, but I am sure once they are complete it will feel lush and tropical. The private pools in the villas are a really good size.
I love the all-inclusive spa concept, and I like that the menu has a good variety of options, including non-treatment things like yoga and tai-chi.
I stayed at the Fusion Resort Phu Quoc when it had only recently opened. Luxury travel is still relatively new to Phu Quoc, and so it is fair to say that the staff are still learning, although they are very friendly.
