Bhaya Classic is the original 15- 20 cabin cruise ship of the Bhaya fleet, which is one of the only operators to offer 2-3-night continuous cruises on Halong Bay in the north of Vietnam.

Bhaya Classic is the first member of the Bhaya fleet, specialising in continuous cruises around the more far-flung areas of the spectacular Halong Bay. First launched in 2007, and refurbished in 2015, Bhaya Classic is a seamless combination of traditional oriental style, and modern facilities.
Each Bhaya Classic boat has between 15 and 20 cabins, making them relatively small, while still providing a warm and sociable atmosphere on board. The rooms are mostly deluxe cabins, with large windows to take in the astonishing views. At the bow of the boat there are two suites which have private forward facing outdoor terraces. The rooms are traditionally decorated in a combination of oriental and modern styles, with subtle shades of green and brown echoing the magnificent scenery outside.
Facilities on board Bhaya Classic include a dining room serving traditional Vietnamese fare that is carefully chosen to incorporate the five flavours of Vietnamese cuisine- spicy, sour, salty, bitter and sweet. Guests will enjoy learning from the speciality chefs about the use of these flavours to create healthy and delicious local meals. The Topside Bar is the perfect place to relax with a cool drink in hand after a long day of sightseeing and is the perfect space to meet and mingle with fellow guests.
Activities are varied and can change depending on season and itinerary length, but guests on Bhaya Classic can explore Halong, Bai Tu Long and Lan Ha Bays, as well as Cat Ba island, a variety of the area’s most famous caves and islands and take a kayak through traditional floating villages and fishing communities. Tai Chi, squid fishing, a fun MasterChef competition and spa treatments are all available on board.

enovated in 2015, all the cabins on board are subtly decorated in brown and green earthy tones in classic traditional style and have large panoramic windows, air-conditioning and an en-suite bathroom.
The Terrace Suites are ideal for those looking for a little extra space and luxury. These two suites are located at the bow of the boat, with large private terraces facing towards the front of the boat. They boast an additional sofa bed and a luxurious bathtub, perfect for those travelling with children.

Children are welcome on board the Bhaya boats. Babysitters can be arranged with prior notice if parents would like some time out, but please note that this boat cannot offer any interconnecting cabins. The Terrace Suites can accommodate one extra bed for a child under the age of 12.

Meals will be served in the restaurant and the menu will regularly change depending on seasonality of ingredients and which of Bhaya’s speciality chefs are on board. The food is mostly locally sourced from Bhaya’s organic farms on Cat Ba island or taken directly from the sea. The Topside Bar serves a range of international wines and spirits, and has a comprehensive cocktail menu for the perfect sundowners.

Activities may include swimming and snorkelling, kayaking through floating villages, cycling on Cat Ba island and visiting a selection of the more famous caves and karsts in the bays, including Dau Go, Bright and Dark caves. On board activities include a fun evening MasterChef competition, indulging in spa treatments, squid fishing at night with the crew, or simply enjoying a spot of stargazing on the top deck.
