Just minutes from Sri Lanka's airport, the beaches of Negombo and the city of Colombo is The Wallawwa. An airport hotel with a difference. This boutique gem is a destination in itself with stylish rooms, mouth watering food and an exquisite atmosphere.
Only 20 minutes from the airport yet a million miles away from an airport hotel
While the average stay is one night, most guests wished they had more time here
Fabulous spa onsite - ideal for getting over a long flight
Beautiful gardens housing sofas, ideal for sipping a pre-dinner G&T
Nestled amongst acres of beautifully manicured gardens, this antique colonial manor house, or Wallawwa, is now the home of Sri Lanka’s most exciting boutique hotel. This old and new concept provides guests with unrivalled setting and style just 20-minutes from the airport and the hustle and bustle of Colombo. Strategically located close to the Dambulla, Kandy & Galle highways, the Wallawwa remains entirely secluded. The Wallawwa is the perfect start, middle or end to any visit to this enchanting island; a luxury private hideaway.
Rooms and suites comprise terrazzo lined walk in wet rooms boasting rain showers and double basins, bedrooms furnished with Balinese four poster beds, exceptionally comfortable bedding and all the mod cons you'd expect from a world class, yet boutique hotel.
Just because you are ‘overnighting’ after or before your flight does not mean you need to compromise on standards, especially when it comes to food. Here, the chefs blend the best of Sri Lanka and South Asia along with good old home cooked recipes. Sample real Sri Lankan cooking, traditional curries or more adventurous local cuisine as well as the best of the West, recipes developed from our favourite homemade dishes from around the world.
Not forgetting your tired body, The Wallawwa also boasts its very own Spa with treatments, specifically designed with real people in mind to relax, unwind and help you enjoy the tranquil setting.
With the facilities of an office and library to keep in touch and entertained, as your first or last stop in Sri Lanka, The Wallawwa leaves you wanting for nothing - except perhaps one more night...
